Graphical Pension
Plan of Canada (UGPPC)

ABOUT

This website is for members of the Unifor Graphical Pension Plan of Canada (UGPPC). Please send all completed forms and inquiries to the Plan Administrator, Convyta.

If the UGPPC does not sound familiar to you, it may be because it is the product of the merger of two other pension plans. Further complicating things is that the unions representing Plan members have changed multiple times over the years.

Plan members were initially members of the Graphic Communications International Union (“the GCIU”). They later became members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (“the CEP”) and then Unifor. If you worked in the printing industry outside Quebec while represented by any of these unions, you may be entitled to UGPPC benefits.

These changes in unions resulted in changes to the names of the plans that ultimately became the UGPPC:

  • the Graphic Communications International Union Supplemental Retirement and Disability Fund of Canada (the “SRDF” or the “International Plan”) became the CEP Graphical Supplemental Retirement and Disability Fund of Canada; and,
  • the Graphic Communications Pension Plan of Canada (“the GCPPC”) became the CEP Graphical Pension Plan of Canada.

After the CEP merged with the Canadian Auto Workers to form Unifor, these pension plans merged to become the UGPPC.
